Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Teton Valley Food Pantry. We couldn't do what we do without the generous support of people like you!
Volunteer opportunities are available throughout the year. All volunteers go through a training program before helping at the Pantry. Training covers food handling safety, confidentiality, and civil rights. The Pantry is a sanitized place and masks and gloves are required (gloves available on site). There are a maximum of 4 volunteers in the Pantry at a time and volunteering does not require contact with the public.
For questions about volunteering and to set up a training time, please contact Sue Heffron at (208) 354-1658 or email at email@example.com.
Here are some of the opportunities we have for volunteering:
The Food Pantry is distributing food through a Personal Shopper model where clients stand outside the pantry and choose from a list of the food items most needed in their household. Volunteers fill each order based on household size. This is a physical and rewarding opportunity for the right people. Volunteers do not require contact with clients.
Prepping and stocking
Help behind the scenes with stocking the shelves and prepping food for distribution.
Bilingual translator (Spanish/English)
Answer questions for Spanish speaking clients at distribution times.
Committee work and help translating documents always appreciated, let us know if you can help!
We have projects that require data entry. If you are detail-oriented and computer savvy, there are jobs for you.
Maintenance and handy work
If you are available for as-needed projects or emergencies, please let us know!
