Sue Heffron Named Executive Director
The Teton Valley Food Pantry Board of Directors is pleased to announce the promotion of
Sue Heffron to the position of Executive Director of the pantry. Sue has served as the Director of Operations since March 2021 and, during that time, has improved both the face of the food pantry by facilitating the move to our central Driggs location and its operations by ensuring availability of nutrient dense foods for our clients. Sue, her staff, and volunteers work tirelessly to keep the pantry open daily for client distributions and serve upwards of 100 families each week. Additionally, the pantry crew collects, stocks, and distributes tens of thousands of pounds of community-donated pantry items yearly.
Sue has expanded the pantry’s reach within the community by implementing food pantries in the schools, providing take-away “meals in a bag” for our ABC families, bringing in fresh produce through donations from local gardeners, providing supplemental commodities to seniors, senior food delivery through SWOT, and facilitating access to weekend food for children via the Backpack program. Sue will continue to oversee pantry operations while continuing to develop relationships for funding and partnering as our new Executive Director. If you see Sue around town please congratulate her on her new position!
